Hilary J. Hammett
Hilary attended Pasadena City College and Azusa Pacific University studying microbiology, history and philosophy. During her first year at APU she was a T.A. for Colonial and US History and enjoys intensive, self-directed study. After purchasing and renovating her first home, she was hooked on restoration and preservation. She has a love of American Decorative Arts and has since renovated many homes and consults on home renovations. While working at Huntington Memorial Hospital as a lab tech she volunteered with Young Life. Also as a high school counselor at her church, she led scripture studies and retreats for high school-aged girls. She volunteered with Right To Life League of Southern California, supported and raised funds for Crisis Pregnancy Center of Pasadena and volunteered with Las Marianas (an auxiliary of Assistance League). During these years she developed a wedding coordinating and consulting business in Sierra Madre and then in Santa Barbara, providing many opportunities to bring individuals couples into a church setting by exposing them to the significance of the Christian traditions. While in Santa Barbara she served on the Parent Boards of El Montecito Early School and Laguna Blanca School as Secretary and Hospitality Director.
